Thursday, November 24, 2011's over.....Thanksgiving at Honeysuckle Hill, 2011...may it R.I.P.

  The line starts HERE.  lol

Well, when it was all said and done, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving. There were 25 people in attendance, enough food to feed a starving country and the ages ran from 4 months to 63 years.  We had a really good time, and no one was offended by the dirtiness of my house. lol   The 8 children in attendance had a ball seeing the chickens and playing with the dogs and cats and the bird.

Everyone was shocked that I didn't have paper plates or paper napkins. I did have to pull out a few pieces of plastic cutlery. lol  It was really nice. My brother's (who .lives in Georgia) 3 boys came, and they usually don't. So that was a real blessing.

Folks started arriving around 11:30 and the last ones left around 6 PM.  I am exhausted--in a really good way.  I can't believe I'm still  awake. lol  I woke up this morning at 4:30, got up a bit and then came back to bed and slept another 45 minutes, woke up again.  I was really not feeling heart was racing and I was nauseous...worried me a little. I laid back down at 6:30 after the Irishman got up.  Crazy. I took some Pepto Bismol and got myself dressed. Forcing myself to get up and get busy helped, but I was icky  for a few hours.  Feel like it's catching up to me again and so I think I'll go to bed.

I'll be back tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving and hope yours was filled with food and family and friends and lotsa love...

Hope you feel better today Annie -- I have felt unwell when there is too much excitement and rich food!

Sounds as if everyone had a wonderful time.

You did it! And I do hope that today (the day after) you are feeling much better. That is an amazing number of people to have for the Thanksgiving feast. Now you can rest on your laurels. :-)

I hope you're feeling better. What a crowd, though! And it went off without a hitch and everybody left full and happy. What more could you ask for? Well--not to have a flippy stomach. I haven't felt well since Tuesday. I hope this was just a fluke for you and you wake up fit as a fiddle. :):)

I can't imagine how awesome your T day feasts are. I feel full just thinking about it!

Glad you had a good one.

I'm thankful for having found you here this year.

I just found a new way to deal with nausea--hard Christmas candy. I guess the sugar does something to lessen the nausea. I don't like the calories or the sugar on my teeth, but it is nice to have relief from an upset stomach.

Thanks everyone,...I feel great.

Rubye--my son swears by dandelion leaves for nausea and about anything that ails you. Contains massive anti-inflammatory properties as well.

Whatever this was, it seems to have gone as quickly as it came.

It was a great feast and another opportunity to realize what a great family I have.

Hope everyone had a great day.
